• The facility hosts an extensive 11,000 square foot green roof with regional, drought resistant plantings. This roof reduces the heat island effect, holds rainwater and reduces impact on local ecology. 
• The site hosts drought tolerant native plants and wildflowers to support habitat and attract pollinators. 
• The site captures and retains excess rainwater through rain gardens and below-grade retention and infiltration beds.
• The location of the building’s main entrance is within one-half mile walking distance to the main entrance of eight or more publicly available diverse community uses.
• The indoor plumbing system reduces 50% water use compared to a conventional building.
